What is PNWIRE (Premium NewsWire)?

PNWIRE is a London-based digital intelligence and credibility platform, part of The Digital Academy Ltd. It tracks your sector, scores your digital visibility against competitors and recommends what to do next. You can then act through global press release distribution, press release writing, micro-influencer campaigns, sponsored media or technical improvements.

What is the free visibility check?

Send us your website and we’ll review your search, AI-search and media visibility against a few competitors in your sector, then send you a short report with your first recommendations. It’s free and there’s no obligation.

How much does the platform cost?

Intelligence subscriptions are planned from £9.99 to £49.99 a month, and the visibility check is free. Press distribution, micro-influencers and other Action Centre services are priced in each recommendation, and you see the cost before you approve anything.

Does buying a campaign raise my score or guarantee coverage?

No. Campaigns can improve your visibility, but no one can honestly guarantee reach, sales, rankings or editorial coverage. Every recommendation explains its audience, purpose, indicative cost and the evidence behind it, and your score only reflects what we can observe and verify.

How do micro-influencer campaigns work?

We recommend creators whose audience matches your sector, and we check audience quality and engagement first. At launch our team and selected partners run these campaigns for you. Every paid partnership is clearly disclosed, as UK advertising rules require.

Will PNWIRE spend money without asking me?

Never. Recommendations are suggestions. You review the cost and approve every paid action before anything happens.

Is the platform available now?

The platform is in early access. Request your free visibility check to join, and you can use our press distribution packages today.

02 — Platform features10 questions
Do the AI agents act on their own?

No. Agents watch, match, check and suggest. Nothing is published, booked or paid for until you approve it.

Does the Proofreading Agent write my release?

No. Releases are written by our journalists. The agent checks the finished draft and flags issues, and a human editor decides on every change.

How are influencers chosen for my sector?

The Recommendation Agent shortlists creators by sector, country and audience, then we check audience quality and engagement before you see them. Paid partnerships are always disclosed.

What do I need to register?

Your website, your sector, the countries you sell in and up to three competitors. If you’re not sure who your competitors are, the platform suggests some for you to confirm.

How is the Digital Visibility Score calculated?

It combines three things we can observe: search visibility (SEO), how often AI assistants and answer engines mention you (GEO/AEO), and verified media coverage. Climate, regulatory and geopolitical risk is shown as signals, kept separate from the score so the number stays easy to read.

How are rankings worked out?

We compare your score with other businesses in the same sector, first in your country and then globally. You can also see a side-by-side comparison with the competitors you track.

How often do signals arrive?

Canopy sends sector and business signals every day. Sapling sends a weekly summary. Every signal shows its source and a confidence level.

What’s the difference between a correction and a visibility recommendation?

A correction fixes something on your side first, such as missing structured data, slow mobile pages or unclear answers for AI assistants. A visibility recommendation helps you reach new audiences, for example press distribution, micro-influencers or sponsored media in a target country.

Who can see my dashboard?

Only you and the people you invite. Your score is built from publicly observable data and the details you give us, and we never publish your dashboard.

Can agencies manage several brands?

Not yet. An agency plan with several brands in one account is planned after launch. Tell us if you’d like early access to it.

03 — Media + influencer campaigns5 questions
What is a media + micro-influencer campaign?

A bespoke campaign built around one premium story. Press release distribution gives your news credibility on trusted outlets, and sector-relevant micro-influencers help it reach and engage the right communities. Every paid partnership is disclosed.

Can you guarantee my content will go viral?

No one honestly can. We guarantee the distribution in your package and a professionally run creator campaign, and we design every part of the campaign to give your story the best chance to spread.

What do you mean by premium content only?

We review every brief and only take on stories that are genuinely newsworthy, credible and visual enough to travel. If your story isn’t ready, we’ll tell you what would make it stronger.

How much does a campaign cost?

Every campaign is different, because the outlets, creators, platforms and markets change each time. Your recommendation shows the indicative cost, and you see the full price before you approve.

Which platforms do you use?

Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, LinkedIn and others, chosen for where your audience spends time, alongside global media distribution.

04 — Startup programme & competition15 questions
Do winners get a certificate?

Yes. Every Startup of the Week, Month, Quarter and Year, and every category award winner, gets a shareable digital certificate with a unique ID, sized for LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Facebook and your website, plus a winner’s badge.

How do startups get featured?

Every route starts with the Global Pitch Competition or a Startup of the Week application. Our editors review each entry; the strongest are featured weekly, considered for the monthly cover story and the quarterly awards, and the year’s best becomes Startup of the Year.

Can one startup win more than once?

Yes. A Startup of the Week can become Startup of the Month, then Startup of the Quarter, win category awards and be named Startup of the Year.

Who chooses the winners?

The PNWIRE editorial team, based on the story, the traction and the quality of the pitch deck.

Does winning guarantee investment or media coverage?

No. Winners get PNWIRE features and announcements to our global network. Investment decisions and independent coverage are always up to investors and journalists.

Who can enter the Global Pitch Competition?

Any startup, from pre-seed to Series B, in any country, with a pitch deck it is happy for our editors to review.

How many startups can take part?

The competition is built to take from 1,000 to 10,000 entries each season. Every entry is reviewed by our editors.

What do winners get?

Shortlisted startups are considered for Startup of the Week, Startup of the Month, the Quarterly Startup Awards and Startup of the Year, each of which comes with a PNWIRE feature and a press release to our global network.

Is my deck made public?

Only if your startup is selected for a feature, and only with your approval of the published version. Entries that aren’t selected stay private to our editors.

When are results announced?

Startup of the Week is announced every week, Startup of the Month at the end of each month, Startup of the Quarter and the category awards at the end of each quarter, and Startup of the Year in December.

Who competes in the Monthly Pitch-Off?

Every startup featured as Startup of the Week during that month, usually four or five.

How is the winner decided?

50% public vote and 50% the PNWIRE editors’ score for story, traction and pitch deck. The winner becomes Startup of the Month.

How many times can I vote?

One vote per person per month. Votes that look automated or duplicated are removed.

Can startups ask their community to vote?

Yes, and we encourage it. Share your voting link with customers, investors and followers. Buying votes or using bots disqualifies the startup.

What is the People’s Choice Award?

A quarterly award for the startup with the most public votes across that quarter’s three Pitch-Offs.

05 — Startup of the Week5 questions
What is Startup of the Week?

Each week we feature one startup on Premium NewsWire: the founders’ story, their traction, a short founder Q&A and, if they’re raising, their pitch deck. We announce each feature with a press release to our global media network and promote it on our social channels.

How is the startup chosen?

Our editors review every application and pick one startup per week with a clear story, real traction and material that is ready to share publicly. Premium stories only.

Do I have to share a pitch deck?

No. The deck is optional. Startups that are raising usually include one; others are featured on their story and traction alone.

Is anything kept confidential?

No. Features are public. Only share information and a deck version you’re happy for anyone to read, and leave out confidential financials or customer names you haven’t agreed to share.

How do I apply?

Fill in the application form on the Startup of the Week page. If you’re selected, we’ll confirm your feature week and prepare the story and announcement with you.

06 — Startups & founders12 questions
How much does startup PR cost?

It depends on the reach your announcement needs, from 5,000+ outlets up to Forbes, Reuters and the London Stock Exchange Group. Your recommendation shows the right package and its cost before you approve.

Should a startup use press release distribution or a PR agency?

Distribution gets a specific announcement to a wide, defined set of outlets quickly and at a fixed price. An agency usually works on a retainer to build relationships and pitch stories over months. Many founders start with distribution for launches and funding news, and add media pitching when they need one-to-one outreach.

Can you write our startup announcement?

Yes. Our journalists write 100% human-written releases in your voice, with founder quotes and SEO & GEO optimisation, usually within 24–48 hours*.

Will journalists write about my startup?

Distribution places your release on the outlets in your package. Whether an independent journalist also writes their own story is their editorial decision, so it can’t be guaranteed. A clear hook, real traction and a strong founder quote make it more likely.

When should we publish a funding announcement?

After the round has closed and your investors have agreed the wording and the date. Many startups pick a weekday morning and coordinate timing with their lead investor.

Can we name our investors?

Yes, with their permission. Lead investors usually provide a quote, which makes the announcement stronger.

Which package suits a Series A announcement?

Founders who want investor-facing reach usually choose Investor Prime for London Stock Exchange Group distribution and Bloomberg, Dow Jones and Nasdaq terminals. Market Titan suits rounds where Forbes or Reuters credibility matters most.

Can I include product images or screenshots?

Yes. Add photos to your release, or choose the photo distribution add-on to send images to PA Media and EPA Photowire.

Do you handle SaaS product launches?

Yes. We write and distribute SaaS and technology product launch announcements to tech, trade and business media, targeted by industry and region.

Can you combine a launch with micro-influencers?

Yes. Through the Visibility Action Centre you can pair distribution with sector-relevant micro-influencers. We check each creator’s audience first, and every paid partnership is clearly disclosed. See media + micro-influencer campaigns.

What is a press release distribution service?

A press release distribution service sends your announcement to news outlets, syndication partners, journalists and search engines at once, so it can be published and found widely. Ours covers AP News, TNT UK and 5,000+ outlets on every package, with options up to Forbes or Reuters and the London Stock Exchange Group.

Which countries can my press release reach?

Our network covers 100+ countries across the UK, Europe, the Americas, Asia and Africa, including trade-specific and local-language media. Tell us your target markets and we’ll match the distribution to them.

07 — Services5 questions
How do the platform and the services fit together?

The platform tells you where you stand and recommends what to do. The services in the Visibility Action Centre are how you act on a recommendation. You only pay for a service when you choose it.

Are your press releases written by AI?

No. Every release is 100% human-written by journalists and content writers. Our Proofreading Agent only checks a finished draft for errors, clarity and unsupported claims; a human editor makes every change and signs it off.

Can I add media pitching or photos to a distribution?

Yes. Media pitching to verified journalists and photo distribution through PA Media and EPA Photowire are available as add-ons to any press release distribution.

How do you choose micro-influencers?

We recommend creators whose audience matches your sector and check audience quality and engagement first. Every paid partnership is clearly disclosed. At launch our team and selected partners manage these campaigns.

Can I combine several services?

Yes. Many clients pair Press Release Writing with distribution and a micro-influencer campaign. Book a free consultation and we’ll recommend the right mix.
